The white comes from a certified German candle dye made specifically for candle production, worked into the wax during hand-dipping rather than applied to the outside. Because the color is built in layer by layer as each candle is dipped, it runs all the way through. Trim a little from the top and the white is still there, consistent from surface to core. It is a clean, settled shade, the kind that sits quietly on a table and makes everything around it look intentional.

Trim the Wick
Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting. A longer wick can produce a taller flame, smoke, and uneven burning.
Check the Holder
Use a sturdy, heat-resistant holder that fits the listed diameter and keeps the thin taper completely upright.
Avoid Drafts
Burn in a ventilated room, away from windows, fans, and vents. Moving air causes flickering, smoke, and dripping.
Keep Flames Apart
Place burning skinny tapers at least 3 inches apart. Keep them within sight and away from children, pets, and anything flammable.
Stop Before the Holder
Extinguish the candle before the flame reaches the holder. Use a snuffer and let the wax and holder cool before touching.
Store Flat and Cool
Keep unused tapers flat, away from heat and direct sun, so the slim wax does not bend.

Will the wax leave a mark on my tablecloth or in the holder?

Kept upright in a snug holder, wick trimmed, away from drafts, these tapers burn without dripping. Wax that does reach the holder cools to a solid and lifts out once it is fully hard. The white runs through the wax rather than sitting on the surface, so treat a drip on fabric as colored wax: let it set, lift the piece away, then draw out the rest with a warm iron and a paper towel.

We are laying a long table for a reception. How far apart should these be spaced?

Allow at least three inches between candles. Set any closer, tapers warm one another and the flames pull together, which is when a candle starts to lean. That spacing also keeps every flame clear of napkins, menus and greenery. Along a run this length, pairs spaced down the center read fuller than a single crowded line.
