How long does each candle burn?

Burn time depends on height: about 30 minutes for a 6.3-inch taper, about 50 minutes for 6.5 inches, about 1 hour for 7.3 inches, and about 1 hour 20 minutes for 8 inches. For a dinner that runs past an hour, choose the 8-inch tapers, or 7.3 inches in the Blue and White set; the shorter heights suit a toast, a quick centerpiece, or a table where you swap in fresh tapers as the evening goes on. Times are approximate and assume a wick trimmed to about 1/4 inch and still air; drafts shorten them. Extinguish each candle before the flame reaches the holder.

Will these fit my candlesticks?

These are narrow tapers, 0.20 to 0.26 inches at the base depending on height. Most standard candlesticks are sized for a 0.875-inch (7/8-inch) dinner candle, so these tapers are too narrow to stand securely in them without an adapter. Use slim taper holders sized for the listed diameter, or fit a secure slim taper adapter into a standard candlestick. Each candle should stand completely upright; if one starts to lean, extinguish it.

Can I choose my own colors or split?

No. Each gift set is a fixed combination: black and white; natural, black and white; Christmas red and green; or blue and white. You choose the height and the total count, and the candles are divided equally between the colors, for example 100 = 50 + 50 in a two-color set, or 96 = 32 of each in the trio. All candles in a set are the same height. For a single color or a mix of your own, you can combine packs from our single-color taper collections.

How soon will a set arrive before Christmas?

Orders normally ship within 1 to 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). Standard/Ground delivery then takes about 2 to 5 business days; Expedited (2 to 3 days) and Express (1 to 2 days, when offered) are available at checkout. These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates, and carriers are at peak volume in December, so ordering in November or early December gives you a comfortable margin. Orders of $25 or more ship free by Standard/Ground to the contiguous U.S.; deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories may take longer.

Are beeswax candles safe for pets?

Yes, with normal candle care. These sets have a 100% beeswax base with no paraffin, and no fragrance oils, perfume, or essential oils are added. As with any open flame, keep lit candles out of reach of animals and children, and never leave them unattended.
