What's in the Blue and White Taper Candle Set

Blue and white is the heritage palette, from chinoiserie to delft to coastal, and this set brings both as a matched set of hand-dipped beeswax tapers. The blue taper candles are a rich royal blue against a soft white, both slim tapers colored all the way through on a base that stays 100% beeswax.

100% beeswax base · hand-dipped · colored throughout · cotton wick · fragrance-free · dripless · smokeless · pet-safe

  • A matched blue-and-white set. The blue and white come together in tone, so you are not left with two blues that end up unmatching from different boxes.
  • A rich royal blue. The blue reads deeper than a light or dusty blue and truer than a dark navy, set against a soft white.
  • A heritage pairing, not a color trend. Blue and white runs from porcelain to coastal, so the set reads fresh in summer and formal in winter.
  • Clean, drip-free light. The tapers burn without dripping onto the linens, and the only scent is the wax's faint honey note.

Royal blue and white, a "something blue" set for weddings and coastal tables.

Colored right through the wax, so the royal blue never fades to a washed-out blue.

Dripless, so it will not mark a wedding cloth.

Fragrance-free, so it does not fight the food or the flowers.

What Size and How Many Blue and White Taper Candles Do You Need?

Choose the height for the look you want and the set size for how many candles your table or event needs, from a dinner to a wedding. The Set quantity is the total across both colors, divided evenly (e.g. 100 = 50 blue + 50 white). Each size is an ultra-thin, colored taper. Check the diameter in the size table before ordering, as standard candlesticks may require an adapter. Check the burn time in the table below so you can match the height to how long your event runs.

Blue and white beeswax taper multipack heights, diameters, and burn times
Height Diameter Approx. burn time
6.3" 0.2" ~30 min
6.5" 0.22" ~50 min
7.3" 0.24" ~1 hr

Burn times are approximate and vary with drafts and placement.

Even split by color (each set size divided equally):

  • 50 = 25 + 25
  • 100 = 50 + 50
  • 200 = 100 + 100
  • 500 = 250 + 250
  • 700 = 350 + 350

How to Style a Blue-and-White Candle Table

Style the set by alternating royal blue and white down the center of the table for a crisp blue-and-white line. It suits chinoiserie and coastal tables, weddings, and bridal or baby showers.

  • Chinoiserie and porcelain. Pair the tapers with blue-and-white china, delft, or toile for the classic look.
  • Coastal and summer. Royal blue and white reads fresh against sand, rope, and driftwood tones.
  • Weddings and showers. A blue-and-white run suits a wedding table or a bridal or baby shower.

Keep the tapers out of drafts, trim the wick to about a quarter inch, and snuff them out rather than blowing them.

How Our Family Makes Skinny Beeswax Taper Candles

Spanish beeswax becomes a Closterra slim taper at our family’s own candle facility in Lithuania, where each candle is shaped through repeated dipping by hand. The finished candles are carefully checked and packed by hand in the United States. Our family keeps the process close, with honest materials and careful attention at every step.

How to Use and Care for Thin Beeswax Taper Candles

Thin beeswax tapers burn best when kept upright, correctly trimmed, and protected from drafts. Follow these steps to maintain a steady flame, reduce smoke and dripping, protect the slim wax from bending, and use every candle safely.

  • Trim the Wick

Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting. A longer wick can produce a taller flame, smoke, and uneven burning.

  • Check the Holder

Use a sturdy, heat-resistant holder that fits the listed diameter and keeps the thin taper completely upright.

  • Avoid Drafts

Burn in a ventilated room, away from windows, fans, and vents. Moving air causes flickering, smoke, and dripping.

  • Keep Flames Apart

Place burning skinny tapers at least 3 inches apart. Keep them within sight and away from children, pets, and anything flammable.

  • Stop Before the Holder

Extinguish the candle before the flame reaches the holder. Use a snuffer and let the wax and holder cool before touching.

  • Store Flat and Cool

Keep unused tapers flat, away from heat and direct sun, so the slim wax does not bend.
