The green in these slim taper candles comes from a certified German candle dye made specifically for candle production, introduced into the wax during the hand-dipping process. Because the color is worked in at that stage rather than applied afterward, it runs all the way through the candle from core to surface. Trim a little from the tip and the green is still there. It is a steady, even shade: not glossy, not flat, but quiet and consistent in the way that a material carrying color from within tends to be. Trim the Wick
Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting. A longer wick can produce a taller flame, smoke, and uneven burning.
Check the Holder
Use a sturdy, heat-resistant holder that fits the listed diameter and keeps the thin taper completely upright.
Avoid Drafts
Burn in a ventilated room, away from windows, fans, and vents. Moving air causes flickering, smoke, and dripping.
Keep Flames Apart
Place burning skinny tapers at least 3 inches apart. Keep them within sight and away from children, pets, and anything flammable.
Stop Before the Holder
Extinguish the candle before the flame reaches the holder. Use a snuffer and let the wax and holder cool before touching.
Store Flat and Cool
Keep unused tapers flat, away from heat and direct sun, so the slim wax does not bend.

8″ Green Beeswax Taper Candles: Questions and Answers

My holders are wider than a quarter inch. What actually works to make these fit?

A taper adapter is the simplest answer: a small insert that drops into the holder opening and grips a narrow candle. They are made for exactly this and cost very little. Otherwise choose holders sized for thin tapers. Avoid wedging the base with paper or tape, and never leave a candle standing loose, because a leaning taper will not burn cleanly.

We dress the table with eucalyptus and ivy. Is it safe to run candles through the greenery?

Standard candle safety guidance is to keep a flame at least twelve inches from anything that can catch, and dried foliage lights far more readily than fresh. Fresh stems laid low along the center work when the tapers stand well above them in holders. Never leave lit candles unattended, and put them out before the room empties.
