Thin beeswax tapers burn best when kept upright, correctly trimmed, and protected from drafts. Follow these steps to maintain a steady flame, reduce smoke and dripping, protect the slim wax from bending, and use every candle safely.

  • Trim the Wick

    Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting. A longer wick can produce a taller flame, smoke, and uneven burning.

  • Check the Holder

    Use a sturdy, heat-resistant holder that fits the listed diameter and keeps the thin taper completely upright.

  • Avoid Drafts

    Burn in a ventilated room, away from windows, fans, and vents. Moving air causes flickering, smoke, and dripping.

  • Keep Flames Apart

A set of 50 gives you around 125 hours of candlelight in total, and a set of 150 stretches that considerably further. That kind of stock makes sense if you light candles regularly through the week, host often, or want enough on hand for a full season without reordering. Because the slim profile means each candle takes up very little storage space, keeping a larger set is genuinely practical rather than extravagant.

This is a slender candle at just under a third of an inch wide. How do I know it will fit my holders?

The diameter is 11/32 inch, approximately 0.33 inches, which is much narrower than an ordinary dinner candle. Before ordering, measure the opening of your holder and confirm it can grip a candle at that width while holding it completely upright. A candle that sits loose in its holder will lean, and a leaning taper will not burn cleanly or evenly.
